Understand our pricing plans and how you are billed.

This Billing Overview explains how subscriptions, AI Credits, payments, and taxes work for Keupera.

Keupera operates using a hybrid pricing model that combines fixed subscription tiers with a usage-based AI Credit system.

This document is for informational purposes only. It does not replace or override the Terms of Service. All users are required to carefully review the Terms of Service for complete legal and contractual details before purchasing or using the platform.

Subscription Plans

Keupera offers tiered subscription plans designed for individuals, professionals, and agencies.

Each subscription includes:

  • Access to the Keupera platform
  • A defined number of AI Credits per billing cycle
  • Feature access depending on the selected tier
  • Optional API access (depending on plan)

Billing Frequency

Subscriptions may be billed:

  • Monthly
  • Yearly (billed annually at a reduced effective monthly rate)

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.

If a subscription is canceled:

  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are issued unless required by applicable law.

AI Credits (Usage-Based System)

Keupera uses an AI Credit system to measure consumption of computational resources and third-party API costs.

AI Credits are consumed whenever a user performs an action that triggers AI processing, data analysis, automation, or external API requests.

Actions That Consume Credits

Credits may be deducted for actions including, but not limited to:

  • SEO Micro Tools
  • Keyword research
  • Backlink research
  • Competitor analysis
  • SERP analysis
  • Article and content generation
  • Strategy generation
  • Automated workflows
  • API calls
  • Large-scale data processing

Credit consumption varies depending on:

  • Data volume
  • Request complexity
  • Processing time
  • Third-party API costs
  • Model usage

The applicable credit cost is displayed where technically feasible before execution.

Credit Allocation and Expiration

Depending on your subscription tier:

  • Credits are allocated per billing cycle.
  • Credits typically reset at the beginning of each new billing period.
  • Unused credits generally do not roll over unless explicitly stated in your plan.
  • Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.

Additional credit packages may be offered separately.

Used credits are non-refundable.

API Usage and Fair Use

API access, automation, and large-scale usage consume credits proportionally.

Keupera reserves the right to:

  • Rate limit excessive usage
  • Restrict abnormal traffic
  • Suspend accounts in cases of abuse, exploitation, or misuse
  • Audit suspicious usage patterns

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Reverse engineering
  • Automated scraping beyond intended functionality
  • System overload attempts
  • Credit manipulation

Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination.

Payments and Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by our authorized Merchant of Record:

Lemon Squeezy, LLC acts as the legal seller of record for all Keupera subscription transactions.

This means:

  • Your invoice is issued by Lemon Squeezy, LLC.
  • Lemon Squeezy processes payments and subscription renewals.
  • VAT, EU VAT, U.S. sales tax, and other regional taxes are calculated and collected by Lemon Squeezy where applicable.
  • Refund processing and chargeback handling are managed via Lemon Squeezy's payment infrastructure.

By completing a purchase, you enter into a commercial transaction with Lemon Squeezy as reseller of Keupera services.

Taxes (VAT / Sales Tax)

Tax treatment depends on your jurisdiction:

  • EU customers may be charged VAT unless a valid VAT ID is provided.
  • EU businesses may qualify for reverse charge treatment.
  • U.S. customers may be charged state sales tax depending on location.
  • Other jurisdictions may have applicable local tax laws.

Tax amounts are automatically calculated during checkout.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  • Lemon Squeezy may retry the charge automatically.
  • Users may be notified to update payment information.
  • Continued payment failure may result in subscription suspension or termination.

Keupera may restrict access to paid features and freeze unused credits in case of unresolved non-payment.

Refund Policy

Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws:

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins.
  • Used AI Credits are non-refundable.
  • Unused subscription time is generally non-refundable.

Refund eligibility is governed by:

  • Keupera's Terms of Service
  • Lemon Squeezy's payment policies
  • Applicable consumer protection regulations

Users must review the Terms of Service before purchasing.

Legal Notice and User Responsibility

This Billing Overview is a non-binding explanatory document.

Before subscribing or purchasing credits, users must review:

  • The Terms of Service
  • The Privacy Policy
  • Lemon Squeezy's checkout terms

The Terms of Service contain legally binding provisions regarding:

  • Billing and renewals
  • Credit usage and expiration
  • Refunds
  • Termination rights

By subscribing to Keupera, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the applicable Terms.
